The challenge

A newly funded data platform startup needed to break into three regions at once, with a small budget and no sales team in those markets. Its buyers were senior data engineers and heads of data at banks, retailers, insurers and tech companies, a busy and sceptical audience.

What we did

  1. Mapped the buyer by the problems they live with: inconsistent data, painful debugging and fragile pipelines.
  2. Contacted more than 10,000 data decision makers across the USA, the UK and APAC over 8 months at a steady daily pace, each one checked by a person.
  3. Combined automated sequences with a large share of manual, hand-written outreach so each message matched the reader's industry.

What worked

Messages spoke about the reader's daily data problems, not the product. That is why senior engineers answered.

Client names are kept private. Each campaign was led by our founder, and every figure comes from the campaign's own report.
